This book was a little hard for me because it was written in olden English. When I was done reading this book, I was suprised how long the author did not tell who the murder was.  I think this book is good for people who likes to have a thrilling time while reading the book.

Rating: ★★★★★

In my summer holidays, I read a Horror/Mystery novel called Rebecca. There was romance in it as well as many unexpected twists which were very enjoyable.

“Last night I dreamt I went to Manderly again” is this book’s famous opening line. The moment I saw the cover of this book, it looked scary and interesting as it was a dark cover and my eyes got struck to the book very quickly. The first bit was pretty boring to be honest, but after you read the first chapter, it becomes so intriguing and you just can’t stop reading. You would think that Rebecca is the main character as it is the name of the title, but actually it isn’t although Rebecca is an important part of the book.

I really liked the author’s technique of not mentioning the main Character’s name so that the reader could think and wonder about why it isn’t mentioned e.t.c. This book has many twists and I was surprised that the whole story changed at the end because of an unpredictable twist. *spoiler alert!* I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I recommend it you so you can live through the experience I lived in this breathtaking story!

No More Dead Dogs

Author: Gordon Korman

Rate: ★★★☆☆

Summary: Wallace has never lied before. He`s on the football team for his school but is a bench warmer. But the reason why the team could win the championships last year with Wallace`s amazing touchdown. He got famous after the play but he`s kicked off the team for his bad grades. He has to do after school detention with his teacher, but his teacher is the school drama club`s director and Wallace has to stay while the drama club practices and rehearses. But at the rehearsals, accidents keep happening and it always frames Wallace as the criminal. Can he prove the drama club that he’s innocent?

Comments: I like this book because Wallace has a sarcastic side to him, and that makes the book more entertaining. The author has narrated this book as if the characters are actually talking to you. As an example, when the teenage kids tells the story, they use more slang words and when an adult, such as the principal,  they use more formal words. So I thought that was interesting also. I recommend this book to anyone since this book is short and written for fourth to sixth grade students.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone

The book I read “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone is the first book of the Harry Potter series. It is written by J.K. Rowling. It’s about a boy named Harry Potter whose parents were killed by the dark lord, Voldemort. At the same time when Harry’s parents were killed, Voldemort tried to kill Harry too, however somehow Harry survived and Voldemort lost all of his power. This happened when he was a baby. After the incident his uncle took him. When Harry was eleven he received a litter. He was invited to a magic school called Hogwarts. The little surprised him, because he did not know he was a wizard. He thought his parents were killed in a car accident. He did not know his parents were wizard and witch and were killed by the dark lord. He didn’t know anything about his self, his family and magic. With not knowing anything he will start his new life at Hogwarts. Little by little he will know about the connections between himself and Voldemort.

This is the best fantasy book I’ve ever read. I’ll give five stars to this book. I’ll strongly recommend this book to everybody who can read English. I liked the magic, the action, how the story goes on, and every character. You need to read the book to know how well is the story. I recommend you read the book first and then watch the movie.
