200 years later from now, there was a huge dispute in the United States, and eventually turned into Panem, a country with a dictator controlling everything. And every year there is an event called The Hunger Games which a boy and a girl are randomly picked from each 12 districts. The ones who are picked are called the tributes, and they are supposed to fight to death in an arena that is completely controlled by the games-makers. They use weapons such as bows and arrows to kill each other.

Tributes from District 12 were Katniss and Peeta Mellark, a son from a bakery. At the interview of the tributes, Katniss gets most attention, wearing a dress that gets on fake fire. Also at the private training, she earns a score of 11 out of 12, the highest score of all tributes.

When tributes enter the arena, they find out the place is just like a forest. At the beginning, almost half tributes were dead, fighting over the only weapons and food available. Katniss and Peeta succesfully escaped from the deathly fights. Katniss went far into the forest, like Cinna told her. Peeta got allies with the tributes from districts 1, 2, and 3. Katniss face many attacks risking her life as 4 tributes come to kill her…

Comments: The Hunger Games is a hysterical New York Times bestseller, a USA Today Bestseller. This is one the greatest book I have read!
