Summary:
This book is about a girl named Becky Bloomwood, who lives in a fashionable flat in Fulham, London with her best friend and flatmate Suze and works as a finalist journalist in a magazine named “Successful Savings”. This story starts with Becky moaning about her visa bills that was sent to her office. She tells herself to not use her visa card so much anymore, but after, while she was about to go to a press conference in a business company named “Brandon Communications” , she found a great scarf from one of her favourite shops, “Denny and George” which was on sale. She couldn’t resist and reached in her bag for her purse when she realized that she left her visa card in the office. So she tried to pay in cash but she was missing 20 bucks and had to give up and come later. In the press conference, just like usual, Becky wasn’t listening to the people’s talks when the officers who work their started asking her questions about the economy. Becky was confused, since she didn’t listen at all, when Luke Brandon, the boss of the “Brandon Communications” came to help her out of the conversation. Becky was relieved but she was worried if Luke found out that she hadn’t had a clue about the topic. After parting with him, Becky tells her friend that she needs to borrow 20 bucks, but the friend refuses. Then Luke passed her a 20 pound note and Becky was able to buy the scarf.
Later in the weekend, Suze asked her out to go to dinner with her cousins when she sees Luke and his parents having dinner at the same restaurant too. After, for some reason, Luke ran into her and asked her out to go shopping with him in a famous shop named “Harrods”. Becky has a wonderful time but when Luke reveals that all the items were for his girlfriend Sacha, Becky gets upset that Luke was just using her and wasn’t treating her properly.
After a few weeks, Suze and Becky were reading a magazine and it had a part about the list of billionaires and there, she found out that Suze’s cousin, Tarquin and started to date him even though he wasn’t her type. She broke up with him by saying that he was a stalker.
After a few weeks, Becky found out that a bank had defrauded their customers and wrote that on her article and made a success. She got a regular slot on a television channel called “Morning Coffee”, not even knowing that the bank was a client of  Luke’s PR film. Luke thought that Becky did that so that she could do a revenge on him for treating her badly and got very angry. After having a fight with Becky, he realized that Becky was right. So, Luke announced that “Brandon Communications” will no longer represent the bank.
Luke asked Becky out for a business dinner in a hotel named “Ritz” and when Becky arrives there, she found out that it wasn’t a business dinner, but a fun time with Luke. Everything came to a happy ending.

Comment:
I really liked this book because I see a connection between me and Becky that we both are hopeless and keeps making mistakes. My favourite scene is when Luke realizes that he was wrong and Becky was right because I felt like the knot inside me untied and I felt freedom. This book is easy to read, although some words could be hard to understand, but you can easily understand it by reading the words around the word you don’t understand. I recommend this book to girls who has big dreams and wishes and never gives up, just like Becky Bloomwood!
